The English CET (College English Test) is a nationwide language proficiency exam supervised by the Ministry of Education. It aims to objectively and accurately measure the practical English ability of college students and provide support for English teaching in universities. There are two versions of the exam: CET-4 (College English Test Level 4) and CET-6 (College English Test Level 6). Those who pass the exam are awarded a certificate of proficiency in either CET-4 or CET-6, with the highest score achievable being 710. Students who score above 425 are issued a score report by the National College English Test Committee on behalf of the Ministry of Education Higher Education Department.
